Handmade Gifts & a giveaway!
As I mentioned in my last post, I make most all of the Christmas gifts I give. I tried a new medium this year. I decided to make sugar scrubs! It's so easy, I'm hooked! There are a ton of recipes online if you want to give it a whirl.
Here is the recipe I concocted
2 cups pure brown sugar (no molasses)
1 cup grapeseed oil
1/2 cup white sugar
Essential oil to desired scent. I used sweet orange and lemon essential oils. About twice as much orange as lemon for this scent.
I mixed the sugars first. Then measured out the oil and added the essential oils to that. Then mixed together, that's it! Cheap and easy gifts you can make at the last minute! Oh yeah, and they work amazingly well. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth.
What the heck! I made 28 jars of these, I'm giving one away! Leave a comment, that's all that's required, it's the season of giving :)

Super cool! I haven't made any with the grapeseed oil... what does that do to help?

Amy thanks for sharing this recipe with us. I suffer from dry hands all year long, must make me some of this. Can you substitute the greapeseed oil for something else?
